Standard Competence : To express meaning in functional writing texts and short essays in
  very simple forms of descriptive and procedure to have
  interaction.
Basic Competence : To respond the meaning in a transactional conversation (to get
  things done) and interpersonal (socialization) which uses a very
  simple oral language accurately fluently and openly interaction in
  the closest society which involves the attitude, to greet people
  who are not known yet or known already, to introduce temselves
  or others.
Indicator : To respond utterances such as:
1. Greeting someone who is known or not.
2. Self-introduction
3. Order/inhibition

Type of text : Transactional/interpersonal
Theme : Personal Life
Aspect/Skill : Speaking and Writing
Time Allocation : 2 x 40 minutes
Method : Audio-Lingual Method (ALM)

1.The aim of study
At the end of lesson, students are expected to:
a. Respond greeting utterance from known people.
b. Respond greeting utterance from unknown people.
c. Respond the utterance of self-introduction.
d. Respond the utterance of others’ introduction.
e. Respond the utterance of order.
f. Respond the utterance of inhibition.
2. The material of study
a. Short conversations containing these utterance:
 1. A: Good morning. How are you?
  B: Good morning. Fine thank you.
 2. A: Hello, I’m Peter. Nice to meet you.
  B: Hello, I’m Kevin. Nice to meet you, too.
 3. A: Don’t go!
  B: No, I won’t. Don’t worry.
 4. A: Come in!
  B: OK.
b. Vocabulary related to the theme/type of text.
  e.g.: name, live, address, etc.

c. Verbs : live meet, do, stop, have
d. To be : is, am, are
e. Personal Pronouns : I, you, they we, she he, it
f. Formal utterance : - Good morning
  - How are you
  - Nice to meet you
  - Thank you
3. Teaching techniques : Three-phase techniques
  (Pre-writing, Whilst-writing,Post-Writing)

4. Teaching procedures
a. Pre-activity
  - Show the picture of two people who meet in a place.
  - Ask students some questions (What are they talking about?)
  - Let students speak up.
  - Then ask students to write the talk.

b. Whilst-activity
  1.Discuss what are the difficulties in writing the dialogue.
  2. Ask students to make short conversation.
  3. Determine the vocabulary which can be used.
  4. Ask students to write what the teacher says.
  5. Answer the questions based on the text of conversation.
  6. Ask students to respond greeting utterance such as greeting, intoduction, order, and
  inhibition.

c. Post-Activity
1. Ask the difficulties during the lesson.
2. Conclude the material of study.
3. Ask students to use the utterance learnt in writing in a daily life.
