Indicator                                 :
·        students are able to rearrange random words into cohesive text in form of procedure
·        students are able to write a procedure essay
Objective                                :
·        In the end of learning process students have an ability to make a simple short text accurately, fluently, and acceptably in form of procedure.
Material                                 :
  • Procedure text
  • Vocabulary in associated with text
  • Imperatives and noun phrase
  • Verbs and to be
  • Temporal conjunctions : first, second, finally, etc

Technique                               :
·        Question and answer

Instructional Steps                 :

 
1)      Pre Activity (10 minutes)
·        praying and greeting
·        teacher checks an attendance list
·        teacher asks students about the things in relevance with the topic


2)      Whilst Activity (45 minutes)
·        The teacher introduces procedure text and gives the example of procedure text
·        the teacher explains vocabularies in associated with text
·        the teacher explains generic structure and grammatical features in the text
·        the teacher give a task of rearranging simple procedure text
·        the student should rearrange and discuss it with his/her chairmate
·        teacher shows the work of a student in front of class and discusses it

3)      Post Activity (15 minutes)
·        teacher repeat the explanation about procedure text
·        the teacher conclude the content of the topic
·        the techer asks students impression aboout the lesson and gives feedback
·        the teacher give a homework to test student’s understanding about procedure text (the student should make a procedure text, they could find the examples on the book or internet).

I.        Write a procedure text telling how to insert a SIM card into a mobile phone. You can use some words given below to help you !
-         Allign the connection                       - snaps into its place    
-         Slide back the cover                       - pull the battery lock   
-         Lift the battery                                - switch off the phone              
-         Slide the cover                                - push the opposite end
-         Insert the SIM card                        - switch on the phone   


      II.  Rearrange the jumbled sentences into a good paragraph !
1)      Watch and enjoy the program
2)      Choose the best program you want to watch
3)      Adjust the volume
4)      First, plug the cable into an electric outlet.
5)      Press the power button

      III. Write an of procedure text, you can find th examples on the book or  
            internet
            (for home work)

    In this case,
    I think those coherence and unity are still not already taught in level of junior high school student particularly for the student of SMPN 13 Bandar lampung, as I've learnt the syllabus of that school.

  6. hmm, not necessarily be taught directly, right?
    there's no such lessons about them in English subject whatsoever,i.e, they are not given directly.
