Topic                           : Expression of Appreciation and Rejection

Standard Competence
Expressing the meaning of transactional and interpersonal dialog
formally and  sustained in daily life contexts.

Basic Competence
Expressing the meaning of transactional and interpersonal dialog
formally and sustained accurately, fluently and acceptable by using
various oral language in daily life context and involving the expression
of Appreciation and Rejection



Objectives       :  
-          Students are able to express appreciation and rejection
-          Students are able to make a dialog  using expression appreciation and rejection
-          Students are able to perform the dialog using expression of appreciation and rejection in pairs  with their own dialog

Techniques     :
            Drilling
Practice in pairs
            Performance in front of class

Mom    : oh, you’re back
Andi    : yeah…Goodnight, mom
Mom    : Wait a second! How was the concert?
Andi    : (yawning) it wasn’t too bad, Mom
Mom    : ah, come on! Tell me about it
Andi    : well, it was pretty good! The guitarist was good and the drummer     
  was awesome. Too bad the singer was lousy

Teaching Learning activities ( Procedure)  :

Pre activities     ( 10 minutes )

-          Greeting” Good morning, students !”        - Respond                      
   “How are you today ?”
-          Pray with the students
-          Check the attendance list

      Whilst Activities ( 70 minutes )

       -    Read the dialogue                                      - Listen
       -    Read the dialog sentence by sentence 
            and ask students to repeat it (3-6 times)                              
            (if the teacher detects an error, 
            teacher correct it and ask the students
             to repeat it)                                               - Repeat
       -    Divide the students become 2 group,                                     
            one group as mom and another as Andi,
             then practice the dialog                             - Practice
       -    Ask 5- 6 students to do the conversation                  
             with the teacher (drill the students)             - Respond       
       -    Ask the students to practice 
             the dialog in pairs                                       - Practice
       -    Ask the students to practice the dialog 
            in pairs in front of the class                           - Practice

            Post activities ( 10 minutes )

      Form                      : Student make a dialog using expression of appreciation 
  and rejection. Then , practice it in front of the class in   
   pairs with their own dialog.
