5. procedures
1. Pre activity

Ø  Opening and greeting
Ø  Checking  students attendance list
Ø  Giving brainstorming by asking some question to the students to built their knowledge.
For example:
1.       Have ever read newspaper, how often you read newspaper, what kinds of topic that usually you read?  




6. While activity
Ø  Teacher introduces the material which is going to be learn.
Ø  Teacher devided students into some groups
Ø  Teacher give the newspaper to the student
Ø  Teacher ask students to find and discuss the news item text in the newpaper.
Ø  Teacher ask student to give an opinion about the news item text in the newspaper
Ø  Teacher  explain the generic structure of new item text
Ø  Teacher give worksheed to students
Ø  Teacher ask student to discuss in a group and
Ø  Teacher ask student to describe their opinion about the topic in the news item text

300,000 RI childrent abused annually

JAKARTA: more than 300,000 chindren in Indonesia become victims of physical or sexual abuse every year, according to plan Indonesia, an international NGO focusing on children’s welfare.
     “That number comes from the cases that were reported,” plan Indonesia director Nono Sumarsono Said on the sidelines of a book launch in Surabaya, East Java, on Saturday.
     He said that many children were also suffering from economic abuse. They are forced to make money, thrown into the streets and so on,” he added.
     More than 1,2 million children became victims of economic abuse every year, he said, citing data from the Central Statistics Agency.
     That number might increase along with population growth, Nono said. The NGO, which has worked in Surabaya for 16 years, recently initiated a hotline to report cases of child abuse.
     Nono said the government’s strategy for children’s welfare needed strong organization and a sufficient budged that targeted children and not bureaucracy.
