A. STANDARD COMPETENCE
To express the spoken monologue texts of descriptive accurately, fluently, and acceptably in daily life context.
B. BASIC COMPETENCE
To express the meaning of monologue text accurately, fluently, and acceptably using descriptive, and recount in the various spoken language.
C. INDICATORS
a) Students are able to asking and answer about a pet around the house accurately
b) Students are able to mention the characteristic one of the pet
c) Students are able to use simple present tense
d) Students are able to describe one of a pet
D. OBJECTIVES
a) Having ability to understand how to describe something.
b) Having ability to describe something.
c) Having ability to communicate using present tense in daily life
E. MATERIAL
a) Give the information about:
· Vocabulary about pet for example: tail, leg, fur, claws, tame etc.
· Using of have/has and to be: is, am, and are.
· Simple dialog
A: Do you have a pet?
B: Yes, I do
A: What kind of pet do you have?
B: I have a (cat, rabbit, dog, fish, and monkey)
A: What is your pet’s name?
B: My cat is “Si Manis”.
A: What does it looks like?
B: It has white and black fur and it has long tail.

G. TEACHING LEARNING ACTIVITY
1) Pre-Activity (10 minutes)
· Praying and greeting.
· The teacher checks the students’ attendance list.
2) While Activity(55 minutes)
· The teacher asks the students about the animal around the house
· The teacher asks the student to mention the animal that include a pet
· The teacher commands the student to mention one of a pet then mention the
characteristic of it
· The teacher gives a game to the students instruct the students to make a circle,
then the teacher give pictures to two students then they should sing a song together by giving the picture to their friend beside her or his,
· The teacher command to stop while they are singing, then the teacher instruct two
· Students who hold the picture to make conversation based on the picture, they
should ask about the pet and mention the characteristic of pet based on the picture
· After playing a game the teacher should survey the performance of the student
· The teacher explains the function and the pattern of simple present tense and
emphasize the using of has / have to be: is am are
· The teacher gives example of simple present tense relation with descriptive text
· The teacher instruct the student to come in front of the class to make the simple
present tense orally
3) Post Activity(15 minutes)
· The teacher give the conclusion about the material that has been taught
· The teacher give the reflection, comment and advice to the student to increase
their conversation in daily life.
· Teacher gives the assignment to the student to do at home
