Standard Competence
Expressing the meaning of very simple transactional and interpersonal conversation in daily life context.
Basic Competence
Expressing the meaning of simple transactional (to get things done) and interpersonal (socialisation) formal and informal conversation accurately, fluently and acceptable in daily life conversation such as: expressing surprise, express unbelieving, and accepting the invitation.
Indicators
• The students are able to use and respond expressing surprise.
• The students are able to use and respond express unbelieving.
• The students are able to use and respond the invitation statements.
Teaching Procedures
a. Pre-Activities
1. The teachers greet the students and checks the students attendance list.
2. Students respons the question about the related material.
b. While Activities
1. Teacher gives an example of conversation about the related material.
2. Teacher tells a sentence about the conversation, then the teacher asked the students to follow what the teacher said.
3. Then, teacher asked students to follow him or her one by one.
4. Teacher asked the students to make a group of 5 students.
5. After the students making several group, the teacher asked 1 student of each group to be a leader or a teacher.
6. Next, the teacher asked the leader or the teacher of each group to do the same thing as teacher has shown before.
c. Post-Activity
1. Concluding the material that have been learned.

Evaluation
Please make a conversation about the expressing surprise then practice it in pairs!
Sarah : Rita, will you go home tomorrow?
Rita : I’ll not go home tomorrow
Sarah : You’re kidding! Tomorrow is your mother’s birthday. Your presence is the best give for her.
Rita : I know, but I still have much works to do.
Sarah : I will help you to do your works.
Rita : thank you Sarah.
