School : SMP Negeri 23 Bandarlampung
Class/ Semester : VIII/II
Aspect / skill : Listening and speaking
Time : 2x40 Minutes

Standard competence :
Understanding the sense of simple short transactional and interpersonal conversation to communicate in the nearest neighbor

Basic competence :
Responding the short transactional and interpersonal conversation accurately and fluently, extending and ending a conversation on the phone, giving an attention to the speaker

Objectives :
To help the students to be able to respond the short transactional and interpersonal conversation accurately and fluently, extending and ending a conversation on the phone, giving an attention to the speaker
Indicator :

• Responding to a statement starting, extending and ending a conversation on the phone
• Giving attention to the speaker on the phone

Method : Natural Approach


Teaching learning activities :
 Pre-activities: (15 minutes)
- Greeting
- Checking the student’s attendance
- Extending the aim of study to the students

 While-activities: (50 minutes)
- The teacher gives the students an effort to arouse their interest in the topic or presentation
- The teacher describes the situation or the content briefly
- The teacher plays the record (first listening)
- The teacher checks on the difficulties the students faced. Some words or structures may still be incomprehensible to the students so, the teacher should clarify it.
- The teachers plays the record (second listening)
- The teacher asks about significant expression, keywords, and phrases or structures to be learned
- Third listening
- The teacher asks original, informal question to test the comprehension

 Post-activities: (15 minutes)
- Reviewing again the materials to make the students understand well
- Closing the class

Scoryng system
The first exercise consists of 4 questions, each question scored 2,5 so, the maximum score is 10 (4x2,5=10) and the second consists of 5 questions, each question scored 2 so, the maximum score is 10 (5x2=10)
