Standard competence:
Comprehend meaning in transactional and interpersonal dialogue to interact with environment.
Basic competence:
Respond meaning contained transactional and interpersonal dialogue accurately and fluently to interact with environtment.
Objectives :
Ø The students are able to comprehend the short dialogue when it is spoken
Ø The students are able to respond the transactional and interpersonal dialogue accurately and fluently
Ø The students are able to respond in acceptable pronuciation and grammatical correctness
Indicator :
Ø Comprehending the short dialogue when it is spoken
Ø Responding the transactional and interpersonal dialogue accurately and fluently
Ø Responding in acceptable pronuciation and grammatical correctness
Method : Audio Lingual Method
Teaching learning Activity/ Procedures:
Ø Pre activity: (15 minutes)
- Greeting the students.(2 minutes)
- Checking the students’ attendance list.(3 minutes)
- Reviewing the materials that have been learnt previously by asking some questions to the students.(10 minutes)
Ø While activity: (65 minutes)
- The teacher will give out the dialogues by reading it to the students, the students listen attentively while the teacher reads or recites the dialogue at normal speed several times (10 minutes)
- Repetition of each line by the students after the teacher. Each sentence may be repeated depending on its length and on alertness of the language learners.(10 minutes)
- If the teacher detects an error, the offending learners corrected and is asked to repeat the sentence (5 minutes)
- The teacher explains if necessary words of the dialogue they don’t understand. (5 minutes)
- Repetition is continued with groups decreasing in size, that is, first the two halves of the class, then thirds, and then single rows or smaller groups (20 minutes)
- Pairs of individual students now go to the front of the classroom to act out the dialogue and the students can create their own dialogue by changing the names or things of the old one. (15 minutes)
Post activity: (15 minutes)
- Asking the student’s difficulty (10 minutes)
- Asking the student to practice another dialogue at home (3 minutes)
- Closing the class (2 minutes)

Example of a short dialogue:
Lisa : Good morning Alice
Lisa : I’m fine, thanks. and how about you Lisa?
Lisa : By the way, you walk so rush, where will you go?
Lisa : Oh, I see.
Lisa : No, I will not. I want to go to my grandmother’s house.
Lisa : You too and see you Alice.
Evaluation
Giving another dialogue and asking pairs of individual students to go to the in front of the classroom to act out the dialogue.
